"Tux Paint" é um programa de desenho para crianças. Ele possui uma interface simples com área de desenho de tamanho fixo, e permite escolher facilmente as imagens gravadas através de miniaturas (sem acesso ao seu sistema de arquivos).

Ao contrário de outros programas de desenho populares, como o "GIMP," ele possui uma conjunto muito limitado de ferramentas. Contudo, ele proporciona uma interface muito mais simples, além de possuir orientados a crianças, como efeitos sonoros.
