"A new biography confirms that Colin Powell went along with the Iraq war because he was following orders. The tragic irony of the good soldier is that he deserted the people he was trying to protect." Article by Gary Kamiya. Sort of a review of Karen DeYoung's biography of Colin Powell, tho' Kamiya draws conclusions about Powell that DeYoung herself doesn't draw. It's not clear what in this article is Kamiya's opinion and what is DeYoung's. Still, an interesting composite interpretation of Colin Powell, one of the most tragic figures in the history of American diplomacy.
