can be useful for generating pages where you only have to "fill in the
blanks".

can be used for creating new pages.

A Nanoc::Layout represents a layout in a nanoc
site. It has content, attributes (for determining which filter to use for
laying out a page), a path (because layouts are organised hierarchically),
and a modification time (to speed up compilation).

The filesystem data source stores its pages in nested directories. A page
is represented by a single file. The root directory is the
‘content’ directory.
