This could be completely revolutionary if it ever actually comes out of the lab. The implications for use in all sorts of entertainment and educational activites are manyfold.

The approach is really graceful. it resembles to the old photostitch software (http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/papers/iccv2003.pdf) Augmented reality can lead to an overwhealming ammount of "digital noise" over the physical references. I really like the idea if keeping it simple, strictly images.
