40 of 40pts for Content – the site must capture & hold the reader’s attention (Web Design, Business Week.com) - Purpose is clearly stated Y - No bias, error free Y - Complies with copyright laws Y - Considers cultural and social aspects Y - Fresh content/frequent updates/current date (posts are dated, also a dated news tab) Y - NO spelling or grammar errors Y 12 of 15pts for Organization/style – the site must be well-organized and Easy to Read (Elements of Good Web Design, iCom Solutions.com) - Neat Y - Logical, clear & consistent organization of pages Y - Links clearly labeled/obvious navigation Y - Simplicity Y - Clear & visual contact information (no clear info about who developed the software) N - Avoid scrolling & blinking text Y 10 of 15pts for Reliability – the site must have an “About Us” contact site (About Us Information on Websites, Jakob Nielsen.) - Page signed Y - Author qualified/expert (obviously, but who the author is – not clear) N - Update information easily located (clearly states when updates are posted) Y 9 of 15pts for Accessibility – Viewers love to Click!
