Public Sticky notes

I have the same question as Kamil. I have 2 friends, as this page directs to do, and I *still* cannot create Public sticky notes with the FF Diigo toolbar. At least Kamil led me to Diigolet, which does allow me to create Public sticky notes. I would invite an entire group of 10-12 more people to Diigo, but we need to leave public sticky notes on documentation. What gives?

For now, can you tell them to use the bookmarklet (Diigolet)?

Inline Comment is a useful kind of digital sticky note. Since the associated highlight and sticky note are persistent and very targeted, they allow you to jot down your comments directly on any part of a webpage and scan through all your research findings quickly. Public sticky notes allow you to exchange viewpoints on any specific area of a webpage. It is great for collaboration or fine-grained debate on specific point on a webpage!

The Public option may not appear properly when adding inline comments or sticky notes with the Firefox addon, try using the Diigo bookmarklet instead.

Private vs. Public
- Sticky notes are either PRIVATE (default), PUBLIC, or GROUP. Private sticky notes are viewable by the author and any forwarded recipients.
- Public sticky notes can be seen on the page by all Diigo members with the Diigo toolbar or Diigolet installed, and its viewing mode set to "All".
- The highlights associated with public sticky notes also become PUBLIC, i.e., viewable to all Diigo members.
- Public highlights and sticky notes should be done with care. To minimize graffiti and spam, we have raised the bar for making public highlights and sticky notes:
- you need at least two friends in the Diigo community to do so.
