Arai Helmet Ltd (アライヘルメット?) is a Japanese company that designs and manufactures motorcycle helmets. Formed in 1926 by Hirotake Arai as a hatmaker; nowadays, it is often called one of the top motorcycle helmet manufacturers, among others such as Shoei. It is famous for its use of Super Complex Laminate Construction. Super Complex Laminate Construction is essentially several materials, including kevlar, spun together so that it ends up as a cotton candy texture. All of their helmets meet or exceed the Snell Memorial Foundation safety standards.
