This is wikipedia's definition of an Aggregator, otherwise known as a feedreader. Think of it as an online mailbox that you get all of your favorite article/posts sent to.

A Feed Reader (lets call it that instead of aggregator) is like an online mailbox that receives only articles/posts from your favorites sites.
